Croatia Sailing: Mljet

Sleep? Who needs it?

After a mere three hour snooze we were up for an early breakfast, amazed at the views from our bedroom windows. We had set sail and were on our way to the island of Mljet.

After a sneaky nap we decided the best way to kick our hangovers would be a refreshing swim in the ocean.

Into the blue

I'm on a boat

Let me tell you it was the jump that really woke us up.

We climbed the ladder to the roof of the boat when it was time for the swim stop. Nervous we lined up waiting for our turn to jump. The water looked a long way down from the top. I think we let a few people jump in ahead of us before we took the plunge.

I swear I screamed the whole way down.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Kowabunga!

Aye curumba!

The water really was fresh! It was just what we needed after a big night and those Tequila Boom Booms.

Catching up on the weather and shit

When we arrived at Mljet we had the opportunity to explore the National Park. We walked through the beautiful pathways to a boat that would take us to a secluded lake.

What hangover? Let's turn this island into a party island!

The lake, bit creepy

The crew

We spent the afternoon lounging around, swimming across the lake with the fish and eating gelati before settling in for an early night and a history lesson from our tour guide Adam.

Sunrise and sunset all in one day. Magical

Safe to say I slept like a baby.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, Nikki
